Battello - the magic of the lake seen from a battello will help you enjoy relaxing days, marvelling at the most beautiful villas and parks, such as Villa Balbianello, la Cassinella, Villa Melzi, Villa Carlotta, and also villas owned by famous people (see PDF for timetable).

Cycling - the area is mostly flat and there are cycling routes (see PDF timetable) where you can see really beautiful scenery around the lake. 

San Siro on foot - as well as being very near the lake, it also extends towards the mountains. There is a cluster of more than 10 hamlets, each one with different countryside and views. You can stroll around them for some wonderful walks.

Green way stretches from Colonno to Griante (see PDF) 

Easily-accessible mountains, with mountain towns such as Madesimo, Livigno, Aprica, St. Mortiz. (see locations in PDF).

Shopping - the are shops in every town. You can get to Menaggio and Gravedona in 5 minutes. For a full day shopping, you could go to Colico, Morbegno, Cernobbio, Como, or Milan, depending on what you are looking for.
